LIFECHURCH CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
We were recently given the opportunity to partner with the Fenton Fire and Police departments to offer emergency response training to people—in our church and in our community—who would be willing to respond in the event of a local emergency situation. The training was designed to educate people about disaster preparedness and basic disaster response skills, such as: fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
With roughly 100 people registered for the classes, we were honored to have hosted the largest training session in the history of the Meremec Valley Citizen's Corp. The training consisted of four, five-hour sessions. A full 20 hours of training were required to successfully complete the program and receive certification. LIFECHURCH thanks all of the participants, everyone who helped coordinate the training, and the Fenton Fire and Police Departments for their time and efforts spent in these CERT trainings.
We believe these classes were only the beginning of what we will be doing together to make a difference in our community. We also hope to be able to offer this training again, so we encourage you to "stay tuned" for more details!

Joplin Relief Efforts
In 2011, LIFECHURCH went to Joplin, MO to assist with the clean-up and relief efforts that were taking place following a deadly tornado that completely destroyed the majority of the city. Click here to see the recap article, pictures, and video footage from that outreach project.
